Here Digger talks to Susan Letts about Sue's Nylons, where worldwide brands of stockings, tights, hold ups, suspenders and retro-style lingerie are all available under one roof.

The ethos of the site is simple - to appeal to people who love these styles and offer them at affordable prices.

Digger: Can you please tell us a little bit about your background and that of Sue’s Nylons?

Sue: I had this idea for a web site for a number of years, but never really followed it through. My husband asked if I was still interested in doing a site and I thought why not, go for it. We looked around various sites, ideas, inspiration etc. This is what we have come up with.

Digger: Please tell us more about what is on offer at Sue’s Nylons.

Sue: Here at Sue’s Nylons we sell Stockings, Hold Ups and Tights from a number of various international brand names. To complement the stockings, we also have on offer suspender belts and retro panties, as well as various accessories.

Digger: Who are your typical customers and where are they coming from?

Sue: Our customers are split between 60/40 with the larger portion being male. They are from all over the world. We have shipped to Australia, USA, Canada as well as Europe and UK.

Digger: What items tend to be the most popular?

Sue: Our most popular stocking(s) is the contrast nude colour with black seam and heel and fully fashioned Cuban heel in black. Hold Ups is the black seamed fishnet. As for suspender belts, black power mesh is the most popular. We sell various colours and sizes for the retro panties section.

Digger: What sort of feedback and comments have you been getting from clients?

Sue: A typical feedback comment we get is the affordable prices on our site. If a customer is after a certain item, we do our best to get it or put them in the right direction. From that they come back to us to shop for other products.
 

Digger: What is this enduring fascination people have generally with Retro, vintage and nostalgia in all its forms?

Sue: Like most styles, they always come back into fashion. A number of high street shops stock styles that were available years ago. But you cannot get the vintage/retro stockings in these shops. So that’s where we come in.

Digger: What are your own Retro passions?

Sue: We have been into the Rockabilly scene for a long time. My husband has been into it since he was about 14/15. When we go along to any weekenders I always wear my fully fashioned stockings…..keeps him happy :)

Digger: What are the best things about what you do and what do you most enjoy about running Sue’s Nylons?

Sue: Best things that I do is selling what I feel the customers want and if they want to speak to me about products or anything else, I am always happy to do that. The best part is when you look on your site and you get an order, be it for a small item or a number of items. I am also often intrigued as to how they come across the site.

Digger: What are your plans for the future for Sue’s Nylons?

Sue: Our plan for the future is to keep adding to the stock and looking out for different items. And just sell what customers are wanting.
