Using
a Routemaster bus is not only one of the most fun and
enjoyable ways of transporting your guests or clients in or
around London but it also helps reduce congestion and
emissions on London roads. One bus can carry 72 seated guests,
which equates to nearly 15 Black London taxis and with parking
at practically every London venue being non-existent, a
vintage Routemaster is the perfect solution.
The average London bus on the road today weighs about 11
tonnes and runs at 9 MPG. One of our Routemasters, with its
aluminium chassis, weighs 7.9 tonnes and averages about 18
MPG. Coincidentally, a black London taxi will travel 30 MPG
but only carry 5 people.
We are an
independent company based in Hertfordshire with classic
Routemaster buses available for Hire. Our buses have been
through extensive restoration, with the finished result
looking incredible. One of our buses, RML2548 is regarded by
many to be one of the best restorations internally, externally
and mechanically on the road today.
We currently have three fully restored Routemasters in our
fleet as well as a fantastic 1967 VW splitscreen camper van.
Bertie makes an excellent companion for our buses and can
accommodate 4 passengers.
Our buses are highly maintained and are regularly inspected,
which means they are in tip top condition and are always ready
for action.
